Their passion for a specific breed enables them to be knowledgeable and thereby answer most any question you may have. Responsible breeders will have fewer puppies throughout the year and provide "Wait Lists" for their customers as a result of not overbreeding. There is a difference in a show breeder who strives for health and quality; and the puppy mill breeder / backyard breeder who sells to pet stores or anyone with a few hundred dollars.
